Electronic engineering technologies are the foundation for future innovations. Graduates will be able to actively shape our economic future across various industries and professions.

Biomedical Engineering:

An interdisciplinary and applied program aimed at teaching engineering methods to solve biomedical problems — from modeling and simulating biomedical processes and designing electronic circuits for recording and processing biosignals to the creation of medical devices.

Enrollment directly at the main university in Germany

German state university diploma upon graduation / paid tuition only

Bachelor’s: International Business – 30 seats total

Master’s: Logistics Management – 30 seats total

Cost: 4,400,000 KZT/year (discount – up to 10% for the entire study period for the first 20 students)

  • Form of Study: Full-time

  • Internships: Starting from the 3rd year — in Kazakhstan and Germany

  • Graduation: Diploma from Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in two formats — Kazakhstani and German, providing graduates with a preferential right to obtain a work visa in Germany for future employment

  • Confirmed English language proficiency at B2 level or higher:

IELTS Academic – minimum score of 5.5

TOEFL iBT – minimum score of 69

Internal offline exam *

Test dates: three sessions in June (participants will be informed in advance)

  • UNT result: 70 points or higher
  • Subject combination: Physics + Mathematics
  • All students are admitted through government scholarships
  • Dormitory accommodation is provided for non-local students

  • For secondary school graduates, admission is based on the results of the Unified National Testing (UNT). Applicants must have one of the following subject combinations:
    • Mathematics + Geography
    • Mathematics + Physics
    • Mathematics + Computer Science
    • English Language + World History
  • ID card

Logistics Management:

  • CV
  • Motivation letter
  • English level B2 (IELTS 6.0)
  • Bachelor’s degree (at least 6 semesters) in Business Administration or in comparable fields of study (such as Industrial Engineering, Business Law, Engineering with basic business knowledge, etc.)

* The written exam consists of 3 parts, each lasting 25 minutes:

  1. Multiple choice – questions on the topic of Globalization

  2. Reading comprehension

  3. Free writing – a short essay

Test participation: free of charge, offline

History of the Branch Opening in Kazakhstan

In September 2024, a joint project between Germany’s Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications was launched in the city of Almaty, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan and the Government of Germany.

– Yes, a degree from Anhalt University allows you to obtain a work visa.

Applicants are required to provide an educational certificate or diploma, UNT certificate, proof of English language proficiency, identity document, photographs, and a medical certificate.

Paid tuition is available for applicants with a UNT score of at least 50 points who successfully pass the internal examination in Mathematics and Physics.

Applicants who do not have an IELTS or TOEFL certificate can take a free internal offline examination based on the DAAD standard.

The following results are accepted for admission:

  • IELTS — 5.5 or higher;
  • TOEFL — 69 or higher;
  • internal examination.

The internal examination consists of three parts: a test, reading comprehension, and a short essay. Each part takes 25 minutes.

Students enrolled at the branch study full-time in Almaty for four years, learn German, and receive two diplomas.

Students who enroll directly at the main university in Germany study in a hybrid format, combining online learning with one semester in Germany. They receive a German university diploma, and the programme is available on a paid basis.

Yes. Accommodation is provided for students from other cities.

Yes. Students enrolled in branch programmes can transfer to the main university in Germany after the 5th semester, provided they have no outstanding academic debts and can demonstrate German language proficiency at B2 level.

Students at the branch start learning German from their first year, allowing them to prepare for further studies in Germany.

Internships are available starting from the third year. Students can complete internships at engineering companies in Kazakhstan and Germany.

Internships are also available at companies located in Kazakhstan that have German origins or are part of a German business.

Yes. The first 20 students enrolling in the paid programme are eligible for a discount of up to 10% for the entire period of study.

The cost of paid tuition is KZT 4.4 million per year.
