Admissions Open for the Almaty Branch of the German University Hochschule Anhalt
The Almaty branch of the German university Hochschule Anhalt, established on the campus of Energo University, has opened admissions for bachelor’s degree programs. A total of 100 government grants are available for applicants who successfully pass the competitive selection.
The Anhalt International University branch in Almaty is accepting students into two in-demand fields:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering and Information Technology
These programs were developed in accordance with current labor market needs. Graduates will receive two diplomas — one German and one Kazakh, significantly expanding their career opportunities.
The branch provides comfortable learning conditions: classrooms and laboratories are equipped with modern technologies that allow students to conduct laboratory and practical work in electronics, biomedicine, and IT.
President of Hochschule Anhalt, Prof. Jörg Bagdahn, emphasized the significance of this initiative:
“This is a major opportunity for young people in Kazakhstan. Without leaving the country, students can earn a diploma from one of Germany’s leading universities and obtain high-quality engineering education.”
The learning process is based on certified European programs. Courses are taught by qualified professors and researchers invited from Germany. German language studies are also included in the bachelor’s curriculum.
Rector of Energo University, Gani Nygymetov, highlighted the strategic importance of cooperation:
“Partnership with Hochschule Anhalt is a strategic direction for our university. We are creating a platform that provides students access to Europe’s best educational practices while staying in Kazakhstan.”
The branch of one of Germany’s leading universities of applied sciences was opened with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan and the Consulate General of Germany in Kazakhstan.
