German industrialists meet future Kazakh engineers: German delegation visits Anhalt International University
As part of expanding trade, economic and educational cooperation between Germany and Kazakhstan, a delegation of German industrial companies visited Anhalt International University in Almaty. The visit took place during a large-scale business mission aimed at exploring the system of technical education in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The delegation included representatives of companies such as Janser Consult GmbH, BARMER, eBork GmbH, Krömer GmbH and PackerCrew GmbH. In addition to visiting Anhalt International University, the program also included visits to KBTU and the Almaty Electromechanical College.
Anhalt International University was selected as one of the key stops of the mission for a reason. The university is the only branch of the German state university Hochschule Anhalt (Anhalt University of Applied Sciences) in Central Asia. This gives the university the unique right to educate students according to rigorous German academic standards and to award graduates two diplomas — a Kazakhstani and a German one, with the German diploma recognized in Germany without any additional validation procedures.
During the meeting, representatives of German industry discussed with the university’s leadership not only educational approaches but also opportunities for targeted training of specialists. The discussions focused primarily on developing cooperation in the areas of internships and employment opportunities for students.
The visit became an important step in strengthening the bridge between Kazakhstan’s educational system and Germany’s real economic sector, opening new career opportunities in Europe for students of Anhalt International University.
