Hochschule Anhalt begins teaching students in Kazakhstan
Hochschule Anhalt has started teaching students at its branch campus in Almaty. According to the university, 52 students from Kazakhstan have begun their studies in Electrical and Information Engineering.
The university states that Hochschule Anhalt is one of around 40 international higher education institutions operating in Kazakhstan and is the only German university to receive an independent teaching license in the country.
Students complete an eight-semester bachelor’s program in Kazakhstan, with parts of the curriculum available for study in Germany. The primary language of instruction is English, supplemented by German language courses.
All tuition costs are fully covered by the Government of Kazakhstan.
According to the university, Germany is the fourth most important trading partner of Kazakhstan. The establishment of the branch strengthens scientific and economic cooperation between the two countries. More than 700 German companies operating in Kazakhstan may benefit from specialists educated according to German academic standards.
The Almaty branch of Hochschule Anhalt was opened one year ago.
