150 Government-Funded Scholarships at Anhalt International University in Almaty

German education is becoming more accessible in Kazakhstan. In 2026, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan is offering 150 government-funded scholarships for study at Anhalt International University — the only Central Asian branch of Germany’s University of Applied Sciences, Hochschule Anhalt.

Applicants from Kazakhstan can enroll in a tuition-free bachelor’s program and receive a European-standard engineering education in Almaty. Upon graduation, students are awarded two degrees: one from Kazakhstan and one from Germany.

Available degree programs:

      – Electrical Engineering and Information Technology

      – Biomedical Engineering

Programs are taught in English, with additional German language training and the opportunity to continue studies in Germany.

Admission requirements:

      – Core subjects: Mathematics + Physics

      – Unified National Test (UNT): minimum score of 50

      – English level: B2 (IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 69, or an internal exam)

Self-funded study options are also available.
